The Balinese believe that the Purnama full moon is a propitious time when their gods descend to the earth and give their blessing. Balinese followers of the Hindu Dharma religion will spend hours carefully preparing beautiful offerings of food, fruit and flowers to take to the temple to be blessed by the priest. At the same time they purify themselves through rituals using holy water, incense, flower petals and rice.
Our three-course Purnama Dinner has been created to reflect purity and renewal on this special full moon day every month using seasonal and unusual yet delicious plant-based local ingredients; accompanied by Balinese dance performance
